St Mary’s has long had a fine tradition of an all-inclusive approach to sport in the school community. We recognise the importance of Physical Education in our young children’s lives; from Junior Infants to Sixth class the children have the opportunity to experience a range of activities from athletics, dance, gymnastics, games, outdoor and adventure activities and aquatics.

Sport in its nature leads to competition and on this front St Mary’s has also excelled. The school has teams taking part in cross country athletics, ladies Gaelic football, camogie, basketball, tennis and soccer. Our success has been tremendous with titles amassed in many codes. This success is in no small part due to the structures in place within the school to cater for sport but in the most part to the children themselves and their ‘can do attitude’.
