St. Mary’s is excited to take part in the Ficheall Chess Competition for the very first time! The event will take place on March 13th, and we have selected eight skilled players after hosting numerous in-school competitions.

Our chess journey is guided by Colm, our dedicated chess teacher, who visits weekly to help students perfect their moves. In addition, we run a chess league every Wednesday as part of our Board Games Club, giving pupils the chance to develop strategy, critical thinking and a love for the game.
