St. Mary’s Primary School Choir
The St. Mary’s Primary Choir is a wonderful opportunity for pupils to share their love of music and song! Led by Ms. Noreen Kelly and supported by class teachers, our choir brings students together to develop their vocal skills, build confidence and enjoy the joy of singing as a group. The choir performs at our Christmas Carol Service, as well as at sacramental celebrations and community events throughout the year. Whether performing festive favourites or uplifting hymns, the choir plays a special role in school life, creating beautiful memories for all involved.
Guitar Lessons
Music Generation Tipperary are teaching both 5th classes the guitar every Thursday.
Peter O Keefe from Music Generation teaches 1 hour each week until May. We are hoping to follow these lessons with a guitar performance later in the year….you might hear songs like ‘Riptide’ and ‘Zombie’ …stay tuned!
Peace Proms
At St. Mary’s Primary we are proud to take part in Peace Proms for the third consecutive year. This inspirational event gives our Third Class pupils the opportunity to sing as part of a massed choir, performing alongside a live orchestra in a truly unforgettable experience.
Peace Proms promotes peace unity and diversity through the power of music while helping children develop confidence teamwork and a love for singing. Our Third Class students work hard to learn an exciting repertoire of songs and enjoy every moment of this uplifting celebration. We can’t wait to take to the stage again this year and share in the magic of Peace Proms!
