Hello my name is Catherine O Keeffe, our two children attend St Marys Convent Primary school, they are in 4^th and 6^th class.

Our eldest daughter is currently in 6^th class and has experienced the school from junior infants.

She has grown and developed both academically and as a person and has developed her own identity. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time in St Marys.

As a parent our main concern when choosing a primary school is will my child be happy in school and I can assure you that the teachers in St Marys are warm, welcoming and dedicated, which will bring out the best in your child, as they have in our children.

The overall school ethos in St Mary’s allows children to gain both in the classroom and in school activities, allowing for lifelong friendships to develop. This helps a child’s confidence, self-esteem and wellbeing which are so important in today’s world.  

Each teacher has nurtured my children’s development in their own unique way, in a happy, safe, supportive environment. I have  positive experiences of engaging with the school where the Principal, deputy Principal and staff are extremely approachable, if you ever need to talk to them. There is a real partnership between the school, home and the community.

The school has a wide variety of initiatives from sport, music and different committees, allowing diversity and variety in the holistic education of our children in St Mary’s. You can be assured that your children’s needs will be catered for in a caring, kind way by a dedicated, hard working staff.

Overall in my opinion I would highly recommend St Mary’s for your child. It is an excellent school and I am delighted we sent our daughters there, they are very happy going to school every day.
